The AXL program has one focus - to provide personalized learning assistance to children as they grapple with the challenges of reading and doing math. AXL’s primary thesis is practice - provide children enough opportunities to practice, and you provide them with avenues to excel. AXL primarily works through practice at school, but is also available as a phone application that can be used on parents’ phones for practice at home. Additionally, the AXL Companion helps teachers at school with actionable insights on the children in the AXL program.

For children at school
PRACTICE AT SCHOOL
For the child at school, personalized help through AI can create a safe space to practice reading and math. A computer equipped with an internet connection and a microphone can be used to practice reading and math through personalized guidance a few times a week. AXL augments what the child learns in class and does not replace the classroom. Through regular practice, children eventually acquire greater reading fluency and greater competence in math.
For children at home
PRACTICE AT HOME
Learning doesn’t stop at school. For children who would like to continue their practice at home, AXL is available for use on mobiles. Children can continue to use their school credentials for additional practice on parents’ phones at home.
AXL Companion
FOR TEACHERS
AXL Companion surfaces insights about children’s learning progress, their usage and specific issues to teachers so that teachers can focus on each child’s specific needs. Often teachers get a mass of data that is impossible to take action on. AXL Companion seeks to change this by providing actionable insights, not data. Teachers can now help each child at the point of the learning journey where they most need it.
